How to make homemade oat milk
To make oat milk, you only need two ingredients:
- long-boiled oat flakes gluten free. Instant cereals are not very suitable. There is little useful left in them.
- the second ingredient is cold water.
Pour the flakes into a container and fill with water. We put the container with cereals in the refrigerator for 12 hours. During this time, the flakes will swell and it will be easier to grind them.
Then we need a blender. Power and volume are not critical. If all the flakes with water do not fit in the blender bowl at one time, divide them several times.
So, grind the oatmeal for 2 – 3 minutes. Next, squeeze the oat mixture using cheesecloth or a milk bag. As a result, we get vegetable milk and cake.
You can make a delicious dessert, cookies, muffins from the cake.
And ready-made vegetable milk can be drunk by adding any sweetener. And, of course, use for baking.
You can store homemade oat milk in the refrigerator for 72 hours. You can also freeze it.
